Retro Roth / Marei German Lava Glaze Jug Vase 70's Height 20 cm Suit Modern Stylish Home In great demand from collectors, this eye-catching jug vase has thick grey black lava glaze fading to blue with a volcanic aesthetic and red gloss relief glazed sections Great housewarming gift, home accessory or stylish interior design centrepiece. Base is unmarked, but this form 4303. Marei was thought to be a fairly small Co. that peaked in the 50s. However, better research revealed that they were a major player that produced some of the distinctive work of the 1960s and 70s. Many Marei items are still incorrectly attributed to Roth. Marei survived until 2016. MEASUREMENTS: Height: 31 cm; Diameter: 14 cm; All approx. CONDITION: Great vintage condition, no flakes, no cracks. Small matched in chip to inner rim. Almost no wear marks despite age and previous use.
