Mid Century German Amphora Vase. Bay Keramik 'Paris' Design by Bodo Mans c1960. Textural vase with mottles whites pinks and blue gloss areas against a matt black body. (Descibed and photographed in the book Fat Lava, West German Ceramics of the 1960 & 70s by Mark Hill, page 10.) Mark to base form no. 1014-25. Bay Keramik founded by Eduard Bay in Ransbach-Baumbach in 1933 and ceased production in 1997. MEASUREMENTS: Height: 25 cm; Width: 10 cm; Weight 507g. All approx. CONDITION: Great vintage condition. No repairs so far as I can see. Other sellers have noted glazing imperfections crazing on the rim and this vase is no exception. Some wear marks may be found due to age and previous use, especially on matt areas.
